Help Shape The Future of
Football in Athens
Athens Indoor Football is officially coming to Akins Ford Arena in 2027… but before the first kickoff, before the first touchdown, and before the first jersey hits the field; the team needs a name.
And we believe that name should come from the city itself. This is more than a mascot or logo. This is the identity of a franchise that will represent Athens, Northeast Georgia, and one of the greatest football communities in America. We want a name that reflects the energy, culture, pride, history, and personality that makes Athens unlike anywhere else.
Now it’s your turn to help shape the future.
Submit Your Idea
We’re inviting fans, families, students, businesses, and the entire Athens community to submit their ideas for the official name of Athens Indoor Football. Whether it’s bold, creative, fierce, historic, or uniquely local; we want to hear it. The winning identity will help define the next era of professional sports in Athens and become part of the organization’s history forever.
